Ever since Senator Barack Obama and Senator John McCain were given questions about science policy, people wonder what Obama's and McCain's answer would be? Well, now they have answers with McCain finally giving his this Monday after a long wait. For innovation Obama stated that he would double federal budgets for basic research and support the broadband internet connections whereas McCain would stress out the policies to help provide low taxes and incentives for research. Furthermore, Obama suggested he would increase federal investment in clean energy by $150 billion over a decade and for McCain he said he would build 45 new reactors to help with alternative energy sources. This was just the beginning for their answers. Whats more is that they had answers for the climate change, genetics research, stem cells, and space which they were going into deep detail on what they had thought about it. They agreed on some of the answers implemented, but had different responses for some.
What was interesting about this story when I read this article was that both senators had good answers for each science policy which will affect peoples lives in the future. New York Times
